Your Life as an Offering

Sacrifice: the surrender or destruction of something prized or desirable for the sake of something considered as having a higher or more pressing claim.

Romans 12:1  Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

What is the limit of what you are willing to offer???  God i'll do this, but yeah,  I can't do this one...  Give that up?  Why?  Who is it hurting?  I mean, I need to be balanced - everything can't be "church"... no everything can't be church - but you can still live a life thats pleasing.   The term sold-out --- has turned into a catchy song instead of a life style by those that belt it out in the choir.

When you offer your life to God, that means it is then HIS choice what happens with it, not yours.  I chose this picture because its pure refreshing water in someone's hands.  If your life was poured out like water, what the water be clear? or would it be filled with debris?  Think of those hands as the hands of Jesus, and you having the privilege of being a refresher for Him... would He drink your water?

Lets do this, just for the day, not look at - what can I gain, but what can I offer?
